GreaseMunky™ User Guide

Importing Data

Once all the fields possible have been matched with the associated GreaseMunky fields, we are ready to actually import the data. The wizard button in the upper right of the Field Selection page takes us to the Import page where all the parsed records are display, as shown below.

In order to include a record when we perform the import, simply select the row associated with the record. All selected records are indicated with a blue checkmark on the right hand side of the table row. To select a record, just click on it.

The name of the vehicle has been added to the middle of the second row of this page. Also, a glyph before the date indicates if it is a fueling or repair record. If the date appears in red, that means that the record conflicts with another. It is either a duplicate, or is specifies a mileage for the vehicle that was not possible on that date. Imagine for example you fueled on 3/15/2011, recording the odometer at 23456 miles. If you were to then import a record that indicates an oil change on 3/18/2011, but with an odometer at 20300 miles, that date would in red, since one of the odometer readings is wrong (unless you rolled back your odometer).

Once all the data to be imported has been selected, you can click the Import button, and the records will be added to the logs for the associated vehicle. This button will not be enabled until some record is selected as indicated by the blue check mark. Conflicting records can be imported if you wish, you can either ignore them or you can modify them later.

Now you have successfully imported the data, you will see the new records appear in your logs for the associated vehicle.
